The province of Tra Vinh offers breathtaking landscapes and rich culture with a significant number of Khmer people. Their heritage is seen through the stunning architecture of numerous pagodas in the region. Our 3D/2N program provides overnight on our private sampan and a night over in a rural homestay in the Tra Vinh area.
Upon arrival, you will board your Mango Cruises Sampan at Mango Home pier in Ben Tre and head to An Hoa River. Enjoy your welcome drink and peaceful scenery while crew members board your luggage. The cruise will take you to Huu Dinh village in Ben
Tre, where you will take the cycling trip through the Village to explore more of the local daily life.
Stop at a local house to taste the tropical fruits and chat with the farmer. Visit the rice noodle factory which supplies to most local markets in the area.
Continue to take a rowing sampan boat through the small canals, which are covered green by the water coconut plants.
Row through these canals until you head back to the big river where your sampan is waiting for you and lunch will be served on board.
After lunch, your boat will bring you to My Long village where you will meet with a local family, Mr Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who survived two years fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh. Now he and his wife live on making rice paper, which is the most famous specialty of My Long village. Have a chat with him and enjoy the crispy rice paper made by his wife, and observe the process of how it is made
Get back on the boat and continue to cruise to Vung Liem. Along the way you will stop for a late afternoon cycling trip. Return to your sampan to enjoy the sunset in the late
afternoon. Our staff will then prepare your cooking demonstration and dinner on board.
The rest of the evening will be spent at your leisure.

In the morning, breakfast will be served on board before starting to explore Vung Liem village by bicycle. Then say a final good-bye to your boat crew as you disembark the sampan. Your guide and car will then transfer you onward to Tra Vinh for overnight. Overnight in boutique homestay in Tra Vinh.
Overnight in Tra Vinh
In the morning enjoy a delicious breakfast and take a cycling trip to Âng Pagoda (about 4-5 kilometers)here there is a complex of Ao Bà Om and Khmer Ethical and Cultural Museum. Erected in the 10th century, rebuilt in 1842, and refurbished recently. Next the Pagoda is is Bà Om Pond –The pond is fringed by over 100-year trees whereby their shadows bring the cool atmosphere for its surroundings. The roots of the trees are so large that they create small caves for children to play inside. The pond is also dotted with pink lotus flowers and water lily flowers in bloom, making up a picturesque sight in nature. Interestingly, there are many mysterious and legends associated with Bà Om Pond as well as the life of Khmer people there.
Then return to the homestay and check-out, your guide and car will then transfer you back to HCMC or your onward destination.
