DAY 2 | Saigon City Tour

In the morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Let’s start your city tour with a visit of War Remnants Museum. This museum is a collection of the machinery, weapons, graphic photos, and documentation of Vietnam's wars with the both the French and Americans. Then, you’ll visit the Reunification Palace. It was here that the American led war ended on April 30 1975, when the North Vietnam Army invaded the Palace forcing the president to resign. From here, visit two of Ho Chi Minh's finest examples of French colonial architecture: the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, 14:00 we stop at Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine, a unique blend of traditional and modern architecture, which includes one ground floor and five upper floors that are home to 18 exhibition rooms.

You may see a delicately carved wooden pictures with different captions that illustrate different types of traditional medicine. This was a place where over 50 skillful engravers have worked hard to complete these carved pictures for nearly 3 years.

The architecture of this museum shows the typical features of traditional architecture in different regions of Vietnam. It reflects many features of the Northern house in the basin of Red River, of the Hue style and some of the Cham ethnic minority group styles. In the Cham tower are exhibited some Linga - a ritual sculptures which represent a power, a diligence and a vital force in the Cham religion.

This museum is equipped with modern audio-visual technology, which regularly shows "A Century of Health Care Experiences" - a documentary film about the history of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine.

After that, we drive to District 5, the location of Vietnam's largest Chinatown, (known as Cholon). A bustling commercial center, Cholon is a fascinating maze of temples, restaurants, jade ornaments, and medicine shops. Here, you'll visit Thien Hau Pagoda, a pagoda dedicated to the goddess of the sea, popular with seafarers making thanks for their safe trip from China to Vietnam.

DAY 3 | Cu Chi Tunnel – Bustling Markets

09:00 In the morning, we drive to Cu Chi district. You will have a short film on the history of Cu Chi tunnels before walking in to the forest where the Tunnels located.

There are several choices for distance of tunnel which you can crawl in. The shortest one is 30 meters and longest one is 100 meters. In total the system measures 250 km, connecting several villages together.

After experiencing the tunnels, take a break with some hot green tea boiled in pandan leaves and try with some steamed tapioca in the forest.

12:00 Tour guide and car/driver transfer back to Saigon Then, we have lunch at local restaurant.

14:00 PM in the afternoon, after lunch, tour will transfer you to Ben Thanh market or Saigon Square to do a bit of shopping, troll around the market and taste various kinds of local dishes. If time permits, you can take a walk-through Russian Market or western malls such as Parkson. Then, back to hotel, relax at your leisure.

DAY 4 | Saigon – Ben Tre – Mo Cay – Vung Liem

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, Then, 8:00 AM our driver will pick you up and transfer to Mango Home Riverside in Ben Tre for check-in onboard.


At 10:00 in the morning, you will board your private cruise in Ben Tre and head to An Hoa River. Enjoy your welcome drink and peaceful scenery while crew members board your luggage. The cruise will take you to Phong Nam village in Giong Trom, where you will take the cycling trip through the Village to explore more of the local daily life.

Stop at a local house to taste the tropical fruits and chat with the farmer. Continue to take a rowing sampan boat through the small canals, which are covered green by the water coconut plants.

As you reach the big river, your sampan is waiting for you and lunch will be served on board.

After lunch, your boat will bring you to My Long village where you will meet with a local family, Mr Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who survived two years fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh. Now he and his wife live on making rice paper, which is the most famous specialty of My Long village. Have a chat with him and enjoy the crispy rice paper made by his wife, and observe the process of how it is made.


Return to the boat and continue to cruise to Mo Cay canals. Stop for a visit at the coconut processing workshop where you can see how the locals utilize every bit of the coconut. Continue cruising to Vung Liem Canal where your sampan will dock for an overnight.

Relax and freshen up for your cooking demonstration and dinner on board.

The rest of the evening will be spent at your leisure.

DAY 5 | Vung Liem – Tra On – Can Tho

In the morning, breakfast will be served on board and you will start to visit the brick factory where you will see how bricks are made in the traditional method and mostly by hand. Continue to take the bike ride through green paddies, garden settings and local villages to explore the untouched beauty of this region.

Head to the town of Vung Liem, continue on to visit the Cao Dai Temple in one of the most popular local religions, which is a combination of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucism.

The boat will then cruise to Tra On on the Mang Thit River, on the way you will stop at Cai Nhum village where you will have a walk or bike ride through local villages and this will offer a good chance to observe the local culture and interact with the local people.

Return to your boat and continue cruising to Can Tho.

While on board, freshen up, and then head to the deck to observe the sun set, your private bar is always open and your dinner will be served afterwards.

Enjoy fresh air while cruising on the tranquil water. The rest of the evening is spent at your leisure.

DAY 6 | Can Tho – Cai Rang– Ninh Kieu Quay

Get up early in the morning and your breakfast will be ready out the Deck. Freshen up for the early boat trip to the spectacular Cai Rang floating market, where you will transfer to a smaller boat and mingle amongst the thousands of trading vessels. Feel free to buy yourself fruits or drinks from the local boats.

After your market visit, return to your private cruise, and soak in your surroundings.

Time to check out and you will be dropped off at Ninh Kieu quay in Can Tho. Transfer to Can Tho airport for connecting flight to Phu Quoc.

DAY 10 | Hoi An City Tour

Start your Hoi An city tour with a boat trip on Thu Bon River to the Cua Dai estuary; it will take you to an island called Cam Kim where you can visit a family traditional work of wooden furniture and sculpture. Have an easy work around the village to meet local farmer and school kids.

Continue the boat trip to the estuary where river meets the sea which got amazing view and beautiful fishing nets. Back to town for the city tour on foot or cyclo to visit the Fukien Assembly hall, the finest and oldest Chinese temple in town with ornate architecture and beautiful garden.

Walk to visit the landmark of Hoi An - the Japanese covered bridge - and an old house called Phung Hung. Enjoy your free time at the ancient town in the evening. There plenty of bars and restaurants in town will please all your liking.

You will transfer to your Hotel for relax.

DAY 12 | My Son Temples - Cooking Class

After breakfast at your hotel, We start the day (8.15am) with a drink at Hai Scout Café – our meeting point.

Visit Hoi An’s colorful main market, and experience its amazing sights, sounds and aromas. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers, to see and taste the wonderful variety of foods on display.

We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.

On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – each dish is first demonstrated by the Red Bridge chef’s, before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration).

After the lesson, we sit down and eat exactly what we have cooked.

In the afternoon, meet your tour guide depart for the ancient Cham ruins of My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage site as of 1999 that is still off the typical traveler’s itinerary, but will not be for long.

The temples were constructed by the Champa kings between the 4th and the 14th century A.D. and are dedicated to the worship of the god Shiva. The Cham-pas ruled central and southern Vietnam for over a millennium; their lands extended across Cambodia and Laos at the peak of their domination. Few Hindus are seen in Vietnam today as many Chams converted from Hinduism to Islam and migrated to Cambodia.

Then back to your hotel to spend the rest of day on your own.




DAY 13 | Hoi An – Hue


Pickup time: 10:00 from Hotel/Resort, Hoi An.

In the morning enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then we will leave Hoi An and transfer to Hue. you will drive 20 km on Sea Cloud Pass (Hai Van Pass). On the north to south nation highway, the Hai Van Pass boosts an impressive landscape. This is the highest pass in Vietnam (500 m above sea level). The rugged pass is the final section of the Truong Son Range stretching to the sea. Hai Van means "Sea Clouds", since the peak of the mountain is in the clouds while its foot is close to the sea. After passing Lang Co beach continue drive to Hue and enjoy your lunch at local restaurant.

On arrival in Hue, driver will transfer to hotel in Hue for relaxation and check in.

DAY 14 | Imperial Citadel And King Tombs

After breakfast at the hotel, at 08:00 the tour guide will take you to the Perfume River for the boat trip. Stop at Thien Mu pagoda for a visit. Its beautiful landscape and holy atmosphere will give you a pleasant feeling of the day.

Get back the boat to the King Tombs of Tu Duc, Khai Dinh who was famous as a poet of the Nguyen dynasty in early 19 century. The Tombs were well designed with green hills, lotus ponds and ornate type of Buildings built together. The King used these tombs before he died as his second home where most of his great works were composed. Then, we'll visit the unique Royal Arena where Tiger and Elephant fights were held by the Kings of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Have lunch at Ancient Hue restaurant

After lunch, continue your car drive to Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. You will also stop to visit the Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding about the King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life.

DAY 17 | Hanoi City Tour – Sapa

Your trip will start with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origin dates back to the foundation of Hanoi a thousand year ago. Your tour of Hanoi continues with a trip to the remarkable Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university.

Have lunch at local Restaurant.

Visit the Museum of Ethnology then on to Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Enjoy a cycle excursion (on cyclo) through the bustling Old Quarter streets. A bewildering maze of shopping streets and restaurants with an amazing assortment of architecture – traditional tube houses, countless pagodas, artisans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses and modern concrete edifices. You’ll enjoy walk around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake and through the less peaceful Old Quarter.

Pick up and transfer to the train station for your night train to Lao Cai.

DAY 18 | Sapa – Sin Chai – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho

Arrive Lao Cai and transfer to Sapa. Meet the local guide and have a visit to Sin Chai village. This is a beautiful village, located right at the foot of Hoang Lien mountain range and inhabited by Black Hmong minority. There we start our trekking journey uphill. Once we reach to the top, you will take a small trail descending to Cat Cat village. Your lunch will be provided near a waterfall.

In the afternoon, we will take another trail sneaking through mountain. The scenery is also spectacular. Take a short break upon arriving Y Linh Ho village before climbing up to the main road where our vehicle will be waiting for us for the journey back to your hotel for check in and relaxation.

Approx: 0.5 hour driving/ 5 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch

DAY 19 | Lao Chai – Tavan – Giang Ta Chai - Hanoi

The day is devoted to a beautiful hike through the breathtaking scenery of Sapa valley. Start by road that descends in the wake of the street Cau May (6 km) En route, admire the rice terraces hidden behind mist of the morning, a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Follow a small track and cross Muong Hoa River and pass well-tended rice terraces on your way to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Continuing through the colorful rice terraces you will reach the village of Ta Van Giay. As you continue your trek along the Muong Hoa River you will cross a small suspension bridge, roughly 2km from the settlement. Here you can discover a fascinating collection of rock carvings. These engravings depict some beautiful images of man, stilt houses and some beautiful decorative patterns. We lunch in a home in the village. After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa.

Approx: 1-hour driving/ 4 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.

Then transfer back to Lao Cai Station for the night train to Hanoi.
